In fact, the best time to buy a new vehicle is when a manufacturer decides to open the floodgates and offer an additional discount, and that’s exactly what Nissan has done with the Ariya.
The Japanese manufacturer has decided to add a discount of up to $5,000 on certain versions of its 100% electric SUV for the month of August. This is the kind of opportunity you don’t want to miss, especially if you’re in the market for an electric vehicle.
Boosting Sales
To be clear, the Nissan Ariya is not a poorly selling model—quite the opposite. The 100% electric vehicle from the Japanese manufacturer has been very popular since its launch. However, Nissan has decided to add an additional discount to boost sales in August. The price of the model has been slashed by $3,000 to $5,000, depending on the version you choose, which is certainly something you shouldn’t overlook.
This is an excellent marketing move by the Japanese manufacturer, as the base price of its 100% electric SUV is now $49,998, down from $52,998. This strategy brings the Nissan Ariya below the $50,000 mark, a significant psychological threshold. Although we’re talking about the entry-level version here, it remains very appealing, especially since it offers a range of 348 km on a full charge. The next version up is the Evolve e-4ORCE, priced at $56,998.
Now, let’s talk about the versions equipped with the large 87 kWh battery, which provides a range of 465 km on a full charge. Again, there’s a $3,000 price drop, meaning the entry-level version now costs $59,998. Finally, the version with the biggest discount is the top-of-the-line Nissan Ariya Platinum. It received a $5,000 price reduction, bringing its starting price to $64,998, which is certainly very competitive for a vehicle of this caliber with such a high level of equipment.
Finally, let’s not forget that the Japanese manufacturer’s SUV is eligible for government rebates for electric vehicles. We’re talking about an amount that can go up to $12,000. However, this is time-sensitive, as the rebate will be reduced by a few thousand dollars starting in January. So, you only have a few months left to take full advantage of this rebate.
