Each year, I test several dozen, if not hundreds, of vehicles. Naturally, I have favorites for certain models, as was the case with the Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek. So, you can imagine my excitement when I learned that the Japanese automaker is offering a similar version for the popular Rogue.
The Nissan Rogue Rock Creek boasts several technical improvements that enhance its off-road driving capabilities. Among the long list of equipment are Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires mounted on 17-inch wheels, a tubular roof rack, an intelligent 360-degree video system, and more.
A Camouflage That Doesn't Work
Just like with the Pathfinder, Nissan has removed all the chrome, added glossy black elements, and a few lava red accents to complement the design of the Rogue Rock Creek. In theory, this should allow the Japanese automaker’s SUV to blend in with the surroundings, but the opposite is true. The Rogue Rock Creek is simply flamboyant, and this is even more evident with the Baja Storm color, one of four available colors for the model along with Everest White, Super Black, and Rock Gray.
The interior of the Nissan Rogue Rock Creek also benefits from lava red accents, notably in the stitching and the logo on the steering wheel. There are also Rock Creek logos on the seats.
Mechanically, there is only one option for the 2025 Nissan Rogue, which is the 1.5-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged engine. This engine delivers 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque.
Some versions of the 2025 Rogue will also feature the improved ProPILOT 2.1 system, which allows you to take your hands off the wheel during autonomous driving.
The price range for the 2025 Nissan Rogue is not yet known, but it is expected that the Rock Creek version will be positioned in the middle of the lineup, similar to the Pathfinder. In any case, we are eager to see it hit the market, and it should help the Japanese automaker's SUV stand out even more in its category.
